I attended a lecture tonight:
Robert Krick, National Park Service,
"Turning the War on its Ear: Overview of the Critical Seven Days Battles"

If you ever get a chance to go to one of his lectures or read his books, do it. He is so knowledgeable.

This talk was about the seven-day battle in the Richmond area in 1862. Two things you come out with are over the seven days, 35,000 men died and you cannot be gentle if you want to win a war.
