Tuition reimbursement is a benefit that some employers offer in order to increase the knowledge, skills, and abilities of their employees. Does your employer offer tuition reimbursement and have you been able to take advantage of this benefit perk? If not, now may be the time to do so!!!

Diane, I work for county government. Yes, they do offer tuition reimbursement but they also have a "university" on the complex that specifically addresses a number of courses related to the organization - customer service, software, etc. They also partnered with a university for advanced education so that staff members can go forward and earn their degree.

That sounds excellent. Is the tuition reimbursement offered at the County level, or is it something that your agency pays for? Either way, it's great when it's offered by an employer. My only concern is that with budget cuts, unfortunately some perks are the first to go. My former employer also had the "university" training with courses, it was excellent!!!
