I'm really curious about something. I keep hearing different opinions on what takes up more water - a shower or a bath.

The next time you take a shower, could you have the plug stopped? I know you'll be standing in water - it's for science smile Can you see if it actually fills up to bathtub level when you're done?

I'll try it myself on my next shower!

I will try to remember to do that tomorrow morning when I take my shower. It will acually be good because there will be water to soak my feet while I shower.

One problem I see is that it takes FOREVER to get hot water all the way upstairs to my shower. If I could shower downstairs in the laundry room, I would have instant hot water.

I do the same thing. I keep the tub plugged to warm up the bathroom.. Brrr! And it is never more than ankle deep for me either.

OK I get under 4" of water when I shower - but when I take a bath I fill it right up to the plug which is about 10". Not only that but I "top off" the bath as I sit there, with more hot water. So I use more than 10" of water when I bathe.

So it's way less water for me to shower.

I used almost the same amount of water for my shower today as I would for a bath (a tiny bit less), but I wash my hair in the shower and I would need more water after bathing to wash my hair, so it is less water to take a shower smile

Kevin - that's interesting! How long of a shower do you take?

I remembered to measure my water today. I washed and conditioned my hair. Since I was standing in water, I even took time to use a pumice stone on my feet. Even with all that I used only about 5 inches of water - less than half of what I use when I take a bath.

When I take a bath, I don't wash my hair. But there is nothing like a long soak in a hot bath with essential oils added. smile

While I love to soak in a nice hot bath. I normally take a shower and use much less water. Unless of course I'm going for that silky smooth leg thing and then it takes a bit more water.
