I am not so sure that a bantam chick would classify as a bird. These fowl has been breeding wild for generations on the farm just opposite our home. The cat brought the little chick on 23 December. We decided to be foster parents and the little one is more pleasure than we bargained for. A lesson to share with you all. No matter how hopeless the situation seem (when the chick was in the jaws of the cat) it might turn out completely different. Have a happy new year 2009 - we promise the chicken will. He looks like a real sweet pet Aloes and yes, he certainly is classified as a bird. I'm glad you rescued the little guy!
