I'm the one who chose blue as our next color - and I got stuck! I sat there with a pad trying to think up blue things to draw. I finally tried a parakeet, a blue one. What else is blue? I tried a blue gemstone too, but I'm not good with symmetry. I'm much better with organic types of shapes smile

I'll post my parakeet drawing soon - what other blue things can I draw? Blueberries? smile

Post your blue images, poems and other creative items!

Ocean Waves - has blues and whites shot through, but then against a blue sky - perfect!

Blue flowers. And you might try using the color itself as inspiration, then draw something blue that is not usually that color.

Hi! I was glancing through the list and saw the Artisic Creative Challenge - Blue. Can you tell me more about it? I thinking I might enjoy trying a little challenge. Sincerely,

I'm not sure how I can draw ocean waves. That's what I kept thinking of - ponds, lakes, oceans and maybe it's my own creativity being stuck but I'm not sure how to "draw" them with colored pencils.

MsMae - we would love to have you join in! Post any stories, poems, drawings, photos etc. that involve the color blue! It's meant to help spur your creativity smile

OK I admit I am REALLY bad at drawing people but again I figure the only way I can improve is to keep trying. So here is my blue flowers in her hair person.

Maybe someone will be inspired to post their own drawings by seeing how bad mine are smile

Something else I fully admit I am not good at yet and am working on. Symmetry. I can never make something symmetrical on both sides. I am trying hard to practice on this. Here is a vase I own.

I adore paintings that have fabric in them, how they get the fabric to look textured and three dimensional. I am only getting started and am trying to figure out how that all works.

I will gladly accept advice on any of my images. I know I am in the beginning stages here smile

Lisa, the subtle shading in that last picture is really great - it makes the fabric have a lot of "motion" in it, if that makes sense - I can see this woman walking away and her cape fluttering behind her. Cool!
