Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Now that Christmas is over, you may be starting to think about goals for the New Year. I don't know about you but top of my New Year's resolutions (goals) is stay well. That's why I came up with a list of "must-do's" to achieve my sought-after state of wellness. Read my list on the allergies and colds page atBellaOnline ALERT: Raw URLs are not allowed in these forums for security reasons. Please use UBB code. My number one resolution is to lose the 10 lbs I gained this year. I bought a journal to record my calories, work outs and stuff. I read that people who keep a journal or diary are more likely to lose weight and I had success with this a couple years ago.

I want to start going to the Y a couple more days a week too.

You're on to a very good idea. I've been keeping a daily food log for three+ years. I initially started it as a way to track what foods were causing me issues. It helped me pinpoint which foods to eliminate. Once I figured that out, I kept up my food diary and it helped me lose the pounds I'd packed on because of my stomach/allergy problems. Now I still use it as a weight maintenance tool and have kept those awful 10 pounds off for about a year. I hope you have similar success. Actually, if you stick with it, I'm sure you will. But don't forget to add in some exercise 3-5 days a week. That will help you achieve success and maintain your weight afterwards.
