I absolutely LOVE the ballet "The Nutcracker Suite". It is one of my favorite Christmas traditions.
But it is not actually tied in to the religious aspect of Christmas, so it is one of those holiday celebrations that is great for anyone!

Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite And for anyone interested, if you have DISH TV, there is a channel called OVATION that is doing what they call the "Battle of the Nutcrackers - Grudge Match".
Ovation TV - Battle of the Nutcrackers Over 6 nights they are showing 6 different choreagraphed version of The Nutcracker; from the very traditional to Mark Miller's completely new re-imagining of it.
My daughter and I have been completely captivated watching these!
