I may finally actually go to a live yoga class! A place opened up literally right down the street and they have them Wednesday nights, which is a free night for me. They're $20 a class though. That seems high to me, for a group class. What do other people pay?

I'm taking a class that is $15/lesson, although there is a price break if you pay for a couple of months that works out to be $13/class.
The price went up a year ago and I am hoping that it will hold steady for a while.
If the cost is too high for you, maybe you can negotiate something a little lower?

Lisa, that is really high. There is one here for $11 classes and I think that is high. At one gym, it's only $5 a class, and that is reasonable.

Of course, my free library classes are even more reasonable (i simply bring a book donation), if you can find something like that. :-D

That is really high. Does Angelina Jolie attend that one or what? $10 at the most.

Hi Lisa,

Here in Phoenix, the cost of individual classes at the major yoga studios range from $15-$25 with cost reductions when you buy packages of classes. Fees at community centers, churches, etc. are usually around $10.

There's an interesting article in this month's yoga journal about the growing popularity of donation based yoga studios!

I belong to our local YMCA, which offers yoga and other classes. I can take any and all classes I want to for my basic fee of $36/month. I like the yoga classes but it's nice to have the option of others as well.

We have some yoga studios here but the prices can't compare to the Y, plus the fees from the Y help kids in the community.

I've been emailing the class and they aren't writing back! I may have to actually (gulp) call them on the phone! It seems odd they wouldn't respond though ...
