I watched Supernatural last night. An evil witch was calling forth the demon "Sam Hain." Of course when Sam comes to town everything just goes to H#**.

I was so disappointed. For the first couple of years of the show, I was impressed at how the writers would bring in real haunted folklore into the story line. Now they are just making stuff up.

:::sigh::: Oh well. Hope everyone has a most splendid evening... though watch out for that Sam guy LOL!

LOL....Whenever I hear about "Sam Hain," I imagine this god wearing a cutoff T-shirt holding a beer can. I'm not sure why.;)

and this would be pronounced 'Sam Hayn'--short 'a' and then long 'a'? Isn't it properly pronounced 'Sow (like ouch) Win' ? I never heard of any legends of Sam Hain--is this like a new urban legend thing?

They have covered a lot of urban legends so I wouldn't be surprised. I thought they were pronouncing it "Sam" because one of the main characters is Sam and he is the one who defeats it. Just another of those funny jokes they stick in some times.

Yep you're right. I'm hoping Moe is right and it was just a joke. I don't watch the show, so I couldn't tell if they were just being cheeky.
