So, I have come upon a strange plant that I bought from the graveyard at Lowe's for .75 cents. I have NO idea what it is, and cannot find a picture, description, etc anywhere. So help if you can- it has an upright growth habit, the teardrop shaped leaves start out a kind of bright green, and as they get bigger they turn a deep red, and it grows FAST. I left for vacation for almost 3 weeks and it grew about a foot and a half. It seems to like the west-northwest facing window I have it on. And no, it's not a sweet potato vine, as my wife likes to argue at every chance she gets. I can't place it, have never seen anything else like it, and I just want a name to put to the face. Or non-face... however you wish to look at it. Please help!!

I don't know what your plant is, but have you taken it back to Lowe's. Someone in the plant dept. should be able to give you some info. Good luck!!

see, you would think, but not at this Lowe's. I used to work at this Lowe's. The people I used to work with, well... they belong in flooring, not plants. I, however, have never seen anything like it. Save a sweet potatoe vine, which it is not. Perhpas I will just call it a Mystery plant...
