I am definitely a cat (house cat)! Even though I now own a dog and love my dog, I always had many cats in my life until this year. Cats are sensitive, and loving. Unlike dogs, it takes a while to earn their loyalty and trust. However, once you pass that barrier, they are loyal to their owners for life. I am similar to that in ways I relate to people around me.
Also, cats can be incredibly strong even under their soft fluffy coat and small bodies. We had a 3-legged black cat who survived a week after a bad car accident, and finally found his way home. (He never wondered far since...) The poor kitty suffered from infection and blood loss. However, he could not stop purring when he finally found his home. Even though the vet suggested for the alternative, the cat not only survived, he also brought additional 16 years of joy into our lives. Throughout his entire lifetime, he was tough yet loving with strength we human can learn from. I would hope I am as strong as our beloved kitty under such tough circumstances.
When I was little, others asked me what animal I would rather be. The answer was a house cat, and it is still the same for all these years... except that I now am smart enough to add more "conditions"
i.e. a house cat in a nice home with a sun room where I can stretch out my belly, loving owners who care about me and let me sleep in their bed...etc. Oh tuna, did anybody mention tuna!?! LOL It sounds like being a house cat in my own home!
