Has yoga helped you with weight loss? I have lost more than 20 pounds since beginning my yoga practice and have kept it off with relative ease. I'm wondering if you have had similar experiences you would like to share.

I had a gastric bypass. I would like to start doing yoga and keeping the weight off. Should I get a book, go to a class?

Daisybun,
Definitely find a class and tell the teacher that you are a beginner with a bypass ahead of time. She/he will help you ease into the practise and avoid possibly hurting yourself. Books are OK but you really should have a hands-on teacher to get you started the right way for your body.
