Yes and Yes...forget the bedside manner and the brushes with death...at the end of the day...he has a pretty good track record of saving life.

I imagine it depends on how long we thought we had to live too. If we thought it was something minor we might not put up with him - but if we'd gone through 5 years of tests and prodding and nobody could figure it out, and we were down to our final weeks of life, we might be willing to put up with any kind of doctor to figure the problem out.

Other thing is not many patients really have to deal with House himself they just deal with his team..
