I did not take either video as her being racist ? Yes I did listen to them and I missed the part where she says she is supporting Obama because he is black ??? In my opinion just because she has a talk show doesn't mean she HAS to have all the candidates on it and she is just like anyone else, she has likes and dislikes. But I guess if you really think about anything anyone says long enough you can read all kind of things into it. Sorry I don't believe she is racist.

I'm with you. I was listening intently and I didn't take either to be racist. BUT I wish I could hear what the offended person hears. Not that I want to feel that way, but want to better understand why and how they feel the way they do.

People hear what they wanna hear, I also didn't take what she said as being a racist.

I think she just wants to support her own party and knowing how willingly the lemmings follow her without much thought, she is afraid that having Palin on will confuse her followers. They might think she switched parties or something and switch themselves. I would bet if there was a democrat woman running she would have her on in a heartbeat.

Thats how I see it as well. It's her show. She has the right to support whomever she wishes and thus have on her show whomever she wishes. It isn't NBC Nightly News, or 20/20 etc where they want to present both sides. She is supporting the Dem party and thus the ticket, and why would she have to bring on the rep?

But I'll go a step further.....how in the world, Jim and Kay, can a black person be a racist? Do you understand the meaning of racism? Look it up, then tell us all how any other race, other than the white has ever shown themselves to practice this policy. Anyone can be prejudice or even hateful but I can only see racism in the race that has put itself above every other race and seen itself as superior and that is the white race.

Does this mean I don't like white people, not at all. Does this mean I favor my race over others, not at all. I only base my opinon on past proof in history. And for the record, Oprah couldn't possibly be racist with all the "white women" she has parading her show for years. Not at all.

I don't see either video as showing Oprah as being racist. I think that she has shown who she supports in politics and anyone who watches her shows or even the news should know her point of view. I don't think that she is unbiased but she doesn't have to be - it's her show.

I disagree with her on several things so I just don't watch her show.
