I worked on Macinac Island one summer when I was in college at the Grand Hotel in Reservations. We had to give out hotel and island information on the phone to future guests. One person said to me, "WHAT TIME DOES THE BRIDGE SWING OVER TO THE ISLAND?"

HA HA it's an island.

If you aren't familiar with the area, Macinac Bridge connects the lower part of the state of Michigan to the upper part of the state of Michigan over the combining Great Lakes straits. The Bridge does not swing over to Macinac Island, (you have to take a ferry boat). It connects Macinac City to St. Ignace.

Perhaps you have said something off the wall or heard a child say something unusual...

Yes. My boyfriend bought me skydiving for my birthday (!!!!!!!) and he was talking to the guys at work about it. I get a DVD of my jump and his work mate said that he heard they strap the camera to your tongue!
I highly doubt it. hehehehe.

I worked in a cafe once in an old Victorian house. One of our guests asked if we had a dumb-waiter. And of course I said "Yes but it's his day off". An oldie but goodie! lol
