A magazine I'm reading said we should all try tasting a new food once a month. It's a good way to expand your eating horizons and find nutritious things to add to your menu.

The next time I go to the supermarket, I'm going to buy something new that I haven't tried before.

Post here if you try something new!

I love trying new foods! I've lived overseas twice and while people I worked with were yearning for McDonalds (yuk!) I tried any and every new dish in the countries I was in.

I love ethnic foods and ethnic restaurants. I always try and order something I've never tried before.

I think it's a great idea to try new foods or even a new recipe. We sometimes get stuck in a rut and have the same things over and over again. I often see an interesting or exotic fruit in the grocery store and I might just pick one up next time.

I tried hummus recently and I did not like it at all. I always hear people talking about how much they like it. Plus there are so many brands and flavors in the grocery store that I thought it would be great. I really don't get it.

Well, at least you gave it a try!

I belong to an organic food coop which gives us a big bin of locally grown fruits and veggies in season, every 2 weeks. Sometimes there are things in there I haven't tried before so I look up recipes on the internet to see what I can find out about how to fix it.

It's a good way to be exposed to fruits and veggies I wouldn't ordinarily buy tho.

Hi Lisa,

I agree with the comment that we should add nutritious things to our menu but prior opting any new thing you should be sure about the thing that what you are going to opt is really nutritious and pure.

At a Mexican restaurant I found some white crunchy strips of a vegetable in the enchiladas, I forgot to ask the waiter what it was. It was probably a tuber but I don't know the name. Really good.
