I loved this picture as an example of what yoga can do for your body! I'm just a beginner, but this lady inspired me to keep at it.

If yoga is done everyday, the results can be amazing.

Does yoga help with your posture? And if yes, how long before one sees results?

Yoga will help with posture; it strengthens the muscles along the spine, and makes the body more balanced and aware. However it is not an overnight cure, the results come little by little as long as you keep up with the practise. The best thing is to simply enjoy the practise, make room for it in your daily life, and be pleasantly surprised when you begin to see improvements.

I find HUGE help with my posture with yoga. I now realize how much better it feels to sit up straight - if I slouch in my car I can immediately feel it, and I straighten up and it feels so much better. You become far more aware of your body and when it's doing well.

Both yoga and pilates are great for posture. They work the muscles of the back, as well as the core. I think you get the best results my committing to a little bit of yoga everyday rather than a lot once in a while.
