This is a horrific story, on so many levels. I'm so sorry for what that little girl has endured (if he did that, imagine what else he has done.) I'm also sorry that the three other felony's were dropped. It's good the "father" is away from her, but not for long enough. She will wear the scars for a lifetime. I do hope that she is getting counseling for PTSD.

This is terrible. The poor girl may be scarred for life and he is getting off basically. Its a shame where law enforcement is able to pick and choose what they go after.

Check out the video of this other hardened criminal who is probably facing more charges than the dad who murdered the cat.

Warrants issued

I'd be in jail for the grass thing, for sure!

What I can't believe about the Dad/cat issue is thst they aren't looking at any kind of child endangerment issues.

I mean, the man's excuse for making his daughter use a knife was that he was so drunk!

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for protecting animals, but they are charging him over the death of a cat, and ignoring the abuse of his children?!? Insanity.

Is anybody else sick and tired of the "I was drunk", "I was using drugs" excuse? This pitiful excuse for a human is responsible for giving this child that HE brought into the world information on how to be a productive member of society. Yet here he is getting tanked up and giving her all the experience that she needs to develop a sociopathic personality.

He gets to get drunk and escape his problems while the rest of us clean up his mess? He should be charged with death of the animal, child endangerment plus child abuse. Jail is too good for this thug. I want him punished for his pathetic parenting.

I agree completely. The drunk thing and the drug thing is getting old and should not be able to be used as an excuse anymore. Anyone who uses that for an excuse should be given an automatic year in jail on top of the other jail time charges they should receive.
