Aqui tenemos algos museos in la vecinidad - no en mi vecino (we have some in the area, but not in my neighborhood). El Witte es interesante (The Witte is interesting). Es un museo de historia naturale (its a museum of natural history). Mi familia gusta el Museo de Los Ninos (my family likes the children's museum), por que tiene muchas cosas que pueden tocar y jugar (that doesn't sound like its phrased quite right, but you get the idea... they like the childrenn's musem because it has many things they can touch and play with).
Hola Lynn!
Esa frase es muy interesante: "por que tiene muchas cosas que pueden tocar y jugar..." (it has many things they can touch and play with).
And yes, that's a very interesting sentences, as although in English the preposition is placed at the end, in Spanish, we place it before the relative "que". In fact, the first verb won't take the preposition "con", but the second one ("jugar")
So, it is: "porque tiene muchas cosas que pueden tocar y con las que pueden jugar". (because it is "jugar con..." vs. "tocar"(no preposition).
Oh! Does it sounds too complicated?? Ok, I'll give another example:
"the toy children play with" "El juguete CON el que juegan los nios"
See it? I must say this is not very easy, so please, ask me in case you need it, ok?
Hope this helps,
