Well what a waste of money that was, The roast was fatty, tough, and tasteless, i didn't over cook it because it was still pink in the middle i won't eat pink so i ended up frying the pink meat, I added seasoning from a season bag that was useless, the only thing that came out ok was the potatoes and carrots. I'll never try this again. I truly don't know how to cook, but i try ;o(

Hi Rosie,

Don't give up on chuck roast. It's delicious when you cook it long, low, and slow which makes it perfect for the crockpot. You can make it many different ways depending on what flavors you like. Here's one easy recipe my family really likes:

Season the roast with salt and pepper and place it in the slow cooker. Stir together 1 envelope of dry onion soup mix, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup of wine, dry vermouth or beef broth.

Cook for 4-6 hours on high or 6-8 on low setting. The beef will eventually become melt in your mouth tender.
