Anyone watching the Olympics? I watched a bit over the weekend. Michael Phelps is so cute! And, the US men's volleyball team has some cuties on there, too.
I haven't turned the TV on today, but yesterday I watched some of the gymnastics prelims.
I didn't see the US/China basketball game, either. Did anyone?

Ya, I saw this article earlier today and thought, "Just get over yourself!" I have loved Michael Phelps since he was a 15 yr old kid with those big ol' ears sticking out - he's judst so cute! He's grown into his ears (mostly, LOL!) and has definitely grown into his sport - he is amazing. And his teammates did a fantastic job on the relay as well. I am an Olympics junkie!!!! I've even been watching the water polo games.  And you should have heard me and my son screaming at the TV Sunday morning during the B'ball game. (Yeah - we skipped church to see it.)  But I had to see Yao play us - I love him!

i have the dvr set to record as much of the olympics as possible. Since there are only two tuners on the box, I can only record two channels worth... so I miss one channel, but the important sports like swimming, diving, volleyball, beach volleyball, rowing, and gymnastics are covered on the channels I watch. You can view some events on the nbcolympics.com website as well if you have broadband

We've recorded every NBC showing - four hours worth morning and night. Oh my - I'm loving it. :-)
Wasn't the opening ceremony amazing? LOVED the drummers opening sequence.

OK, just got through watching the US men kill the Greek B'ball team. (Go "redeem team"!) But may I just say? That Greek team is HOT!!! OMG, those are some pretty boys on that team. They may not could have kept up with the US skills, but I was having fun watching them anyway.

Someone asked me the other day if my husband was Greek. We also get asked if he is "Mediterranian", African, Puerto Rican and Italian. Funny - his look is hard to define. Anyway - I've been meaning to Google some greek pictures to see why they asked us about him being Greek as these are well traveled people!
We finally got all caught up on the women's gymnastics. The new scoring system takes some getting used to - they were just introducing it when I stopped coaching gymnastics.

I actually like the new scoring system. Yes, it takes time getting used to but after the fiasco of the last olympics, I am glad to see some standardization going on.
