I thiought this would be fun:

We had Chinese for lunch today, and of course ended the meal with fortune cookies. And we were all laughung at what each of our fortunes said (either because they were right on the mark or horribly off).

So I thought it would be fun to start a thread, and everytime someone gets a new fortune - post it here.

We'll see if we get any wiser from it! grin

I had an amazing one which I've been toting around in my purse now for about a month. "You will be a great success - both in business and socially."

How about "you will have a wonderful wife!"??? No, I am not kidding, that was what I got one time. I am a woman, so I hope I WON'T have a wonderful wife. cry

Perhaps it meant you will have a wonderful "L"ife. wink

I had saved a whole sandwich bag full of fortune cookie slips. Some of them were great, and some of them were funny. I got to dig them up and share more with all of you.

Do you know that fortune cookies were invented in the U.S., and not from Asia? Regardless, I still love them with my Chinese food.

One year I got a fortune cookie that only had numbers on it.
I played them in the lottery and did not win. I threw it in my purse and forgot it, many months later I cleaned out my purse and found the fortune. I played the numbers and won $7.00! I felt lucky. They were winning numbers, it never said when it would win, or that it would be a great amount. I've always wondered why just the numbers?
Thanks.

Umm... I have always discarded the ones with only numbers. I thought they were so random and probably meant nothing. That's great you won $7.00 from it. They were definitely your lucky numbers! I don't know why just numbers, but check out this article... BellaOnline ALERT: Raw URLs are not allowed in these forums for security reasons. Please use UBB code. That was great that those 110 people won the lottery from the fortune cookie numbers.

I believe in "fate", that if it is meant to happen, it would also happen with a quick-pick.
My husband refuses to spend anymore than $1. on any lottery ticket; he feels that if he was going to win, $1. will do it!

I agree. If it is meant to be, a dollar should do it.
