Hi all! Before I write my official review of this wonderful film...
Just a friendly warning to parents about the nature of the new Batman movie. This is a rather violent movie and children under the age of 13 should probably not see this movie. It has many homages to the great graphic novel "The Killing Joke" in which the Joker causes much mayhem and even some torture. But don't be angry with Nolan for making a film that is more violent than the last. The bottom line is, Batman has always been a dark and violent comic with a greater adult fan base than other lighter comics like The Fantastic Four, Superman or even Spiderman. The Joker is a psychopath - he enjoys killing people. Ledger's performance is right on target and Nolan has created a masterpiece for the comic book legend that is The Dark Knight.
