Many of us believe we are born with a purpose. But did you know that we have both an inner and an outer purpose? And where our outer purpose may change over time, our inner purpose remains the same.

Inner Purpose

I really liked your article! I think we all know down deep in our real selves what our true purpose is but sometimes we let other things get in the way. If we want to be really happy, I believe it's necessary to try and stay in touch with our inner purpose and live it. Our lives flow much more smoothly if we do.

Oh I totally agree Joan. When we get caught up in what's going on around us, it is really easy to loose perspective and forget why we are here.

And Thanks!

Your article was uplifting, Deanna. It reminded me how when I found what I feel is my inner purpose recently, I suddenly lost interest in all the nit-picky, unimportant things that shouldn't have held my attention to begin with. It's truly incredible how you see the world with a whole different set of lenses when you find an inner sense of purpose. I've had outer goals that fell by the way side due to external factors, but my inner purpose has always remained the same. Once you arrive at it, you know intuitively that you've arrived because you reach a calmness about yourself that you can't put into words. You just know when you get up in the morning, you're totally in your element.

Hi Deb and thanks. And I think you stated it perfectly... you reach a calmness that you just can't put into words wink

For one thing, I know that I wasn't put on this Earth to practice my prejudice against people. Hopefully I'm fulfilling that daily.

I really like your article. It's very inspiring.

When we become too caught up with our busy lives we often forget our purpose. We neglect our relationships with others and as well as our relationship with God. We are too focused with our careers and our goals and take for granted what we already have.

Looking forward is good but if we concentrate too much on the tomorrows, we neglect our todays.
