Hi - I am Robin, the new Fragrance Editor. I love this topic, but I am not the only one who reads the articles........you do, too.

What would you like to see or know more about?

ps.....There will be a lot of make it yourself recipes in the fragrance arena.

I enjoy reading about the history of scents--the history of the various fashion houses of Paris and how they were inspired to come up with their classic perfumes, especially the successful women involved like Elizabeth Arden and Gloria Vanderbilt and Coco Chanel... I enjoy finding out about what sort of scents were available to Cleopatra and Queen Elizabeth and Lauren Bacall... I literally read the Avon inventory catalogs and remember the products my mother and grandmother used fondly! The history of scents and perfumes is in many ways the history of women.

Coco Chanel will definitely be done in the near future.

Celebrity perfume lines would be interesting, too......I'll research who wore what, as well!!

How about the people or scientists who gather fragrances for the different perfumes and how they come up with what scents work and the scents that don't or how they capture a certain fragrance for perfume.

I'm always interested in knowing what's new, and how that new stuff may (or may not) line up with my personal tastes. For example, openers like this would keep me reading:

"If you like vanilla-based scents, here are 5 great products that you should look for..."

"If you like citrusy perfumes, both Oscar de la Renta and Ralph Lauren have just introduced two new scents you'll want to check out..."

News and reviews -- that sort of stuff.
