This has probably been discussed before but does anybody have any tricks to putting the pieces on say a 12" square. I am making 6 of these for a swap and man are they tricky. You go along lickety split and them bam you can't connect the next piece with a seam because it is already sewed down. LOL. Thanks for any help

Hi Darlene, thanks for your post. I guess a lot of quilters find this part a bit tricky. I'm going to post an article on the 6th July titled "Making that Crazy block" and it will have the details of how to go about creating your Crazy Patchwork Block in readiness for the embellishment you're busting to get on with!! Keep watching this post and I'll let you know when it's up and going.
Cheerio for now

Hi Judie,

I am anxious to read your article on crazy quilt blocks. I do find the blocks easier to handle that a whole quilt. I have a very large crazy quilt I have working on for years and just cannot get the last corner done and it is driving me nuts. I promised this quilt to my brother about 15 years ago and he is still teasing me about it!

Maybe I can finish it up with individual blocks...!? or a big rainbow or something.

Hi Phyllis and Darlene and all interested Crazy Patchworkers, I've posted the article about creating the crazy patchwork block prior to embellishment, on the Quilting site. I've always got a little bit of crazy patchwork going and just love to potter in my little world, creating new and different embellishments for my pieces. The only problem is I get into such a state in my sewing room. I often wonder how I can have all my embellishments out where I can see them without creating such an almighty mess!!
Any ideas out there???

Tins! tins, tins, tins - tins all over the place. I keep cookie and other decorative tins and put all my beads, embroidery thread, ribbons, etc. in them. Not only does it look nice having the decorative tins sitting on shelves, but it is fun to open them and find what is in them - sometimes I forget what is inside, so it is always a real treat to open one and say, "Oooooh!"

I suppose I could use glass jars (which I do for buttons), but the tins are so much prettier!
