Ori Hofmekler thinks that breakfast is the worst meal of the day.
I think I might agree with him.

Has anyone in here read his books?

He thinks you should eat lightly during the day, almost fasting (a little fruit, nuts), and then eat a ton at night (healthy foods of course).

This is the basis for 'The Warrior Diet'

My typical breakfast, which is also my healthy breakfast, is home ground Scotch oats with whole milk and maple syrup or raw honey). I often throw in seasonal berries or dried fruit, as well. If I had the presence of mind to start the grain soaking the night before, it would be a bit healthier and would taste better, and I'd much prefer to use raw milk, but our state doesn't allow the sale of it. Because blood sugar disorders run in my family (although, oddly enough, not the family members that eat oatmeal for breakfast every last day), I throw in a lot of cinnamon which has been reported to regulate insulin.

I like to make an omelette (sometimes just the egg white) with whatever veggies I have around - usually onion, mushroom, green peppers, and tomato. And of course a little cheese

My boss buys me a donut EVERY SINGLE DAY. I used to eat breakfast and the donut and was gaining weight. Now I just eat the donut. If I don't, I hide it in my bag or sneak and throw it out in the ladies room.

I try to have cereal but if I am in a rush I usually just grab a piece of fruit to go.

Yesterday when I got home I threw away Monday thru Wednesday's donuts. I had to sneak to eat an english muffin with peanut butter when the boss left for an errand.
