I would never shave my head as a fashion choice, but I like to think that if I lost my hair for any reason, I would be okay with going natural or with just a small scarf or hat.

In reality, I don't know. I might just freak out and buy wigs in every style.

Well, I've already been through this!

My hair started coming out in chunks - so I decided to just ngo ahead and shave the whole thing rather than have a patchwrok design around my head.

I fell in love with my scarved nd fun hats. I bought one wig, and never wore it - too itchy.

Yes, we've talked about this before Michelle. You got through it with flying colors and even had glamor shots taken. We should all have that much self confidence.

Hmmm... Are there no men willing to check a box in the poll?

I'm surprised that so far no one would shave their head as a fashion statement.

My husband and FIL both shaved their heads when my MIL was dx with breast cancer and lost all her hair due to chemo.

Actually, several other men from her church shaved their heads also.

My husband was the only one who left his head shaved after her hair started coming back in - he said it was easier to take care of {rolling eyes}.

That is really cool that the men supported your mother-in-law that way.

i would never shave my head as a fashion statement. I checked the box above.

I have shaved my head in HS for swim team. I do do a close clipper but would never shave. However, if I was going to go bald, even though I doubt that chance, i would shave it.

I would just let my hair do what it was going to do and find a way to be content with it. I don't think I would wear a wig, but I imagine I would wear hats and scarves so that people didn't stare at me smile

I would shave as a fashion statement. I have had my hair very closely cropped before, so I know I have a head shape that would suit bald quite well. I would actually like to give it a go one day.

Probably not, I have a very strange shaped head. I know because in art class once we made sculptures of our head measurements. I have a very large forehead smile

Michelle, you're beautiful with and without hair! As it turned out I didn't have to go there, but had already decided I'd shave it ahead of time if need be. Somehow it made me feel more empowered to be in charge, so to speak.

Mmm, not really sure. I don't like the shape of my head with my hair completly pulled back, flat against my head. So I doubt I'd do it for fashion's sake. It's thin now, especially at the crown, so I may find out someday... I'd probably opt for hats most of the time, tho. Love 'em. But its SO hot here in summer...

If I'd been visiting more often the last couple of weeks, I would have helped. But I voted now, so that's good. I've seen the other votes, it's starting to fill up nicely now. smile
And I would never do it, since I'm doing the opposite: letting it grow longer and loving it. Although, today, a lot of it came loose in my comb, so I'm trying to figure out what is going on.

(I washed my hair and wrapped a towel around it, fell asleep in my bed and woke up with hair standing in all direction. I now have a big cowlick in the process, yuck...)

Guess what? I give massages and reiki. More info here!

Many people tell me they sleep with wet hair. I'm always amazed. I could never even fall asleep with my hair wet. I know what it would look like whe I woke up. It's the curly hair. It would not be a pretty site. smile

I would cover my head at all times but I would not shave it.
