I used to be an eternal optimist with my life planned out over the next 5-7 years and plenty of life, health & business goals. Then a fortnight ago I woke up completely deaf! (Doctors still a little baffled)...
Hi Labella, have they figured out why you woke up deaf? Joy
...OK so a fresh set of 5 year goals...Play the Mozart song on piano...
Hi Lisa, in your list of goals you’ve replaced 'Play moonlight sonata on piano' with 'Play the Mozart song on piano'. How did you get on with the Moonlight Sonata? Which Mozart song are you working on now? Joy
I used to have long, mid, and short term goals. But more recently, I've broken my goals down into quarters. Even though there's 15 or 16 of them (which change as I accomplish each one), I'm not limited to a handful for the year that I end up forgetting about. I'm doing well on all except the ones centered around making a profit in an online business. Lisa, you are right about getting centered. We tend to plow ahead toward one goal and everything else sort of takes a back seat. Balance is essential - not only interns of how successful you are, but in how you feel. Your overall well-being.
I lost interest in the Moonlight Sonata song, it's a bit depressing, so I switched to another whose name I forgot . And now the music room is jammed full of stuff so I can't get to my piano. It's on my list to get that dug out again.
Hi all! My 5 goals for this year are the following: 1. Learn how to swim 2. Become a member of an organization that helps homeless animals 3. Read 10 books about marketing 4. Learn German 5. Get a new job
