Cleaning the windows is one of my least favorite chores. I have a cat so I end up cleaning the windows by her favorite windowsill pretty often but the rest I only clean every few months. What do you guys use to clean your windows?

Plain water works fine for me - no need to rinse - squeegie dry, and I use a piece of crumpled newspaper to shine up any drips and runs.

It was like a Tower of Hanoi problem getting all four glass window parts to go up and down to get to everything. I'm not sure I even got all sides of all panes. That was just one window! I'm not sure how people manage to do a whole house of windows. It would take you weeks!

No wonder people pay for those tilt windows ...

There's a product in Home Depot that you can buy to clean your windows from the outside. You'd remove your screens, and then attach this container of cleaner to your garden hose and spray it onto the windows. It's supposed to dry without streaks much like windshield washer fluid (and that could be what they make it with for all I know).

You'll find it in the cleaning aisle and it is specifically for house windows. Usually, it's with a similar product for cleaning clapboard siding.
