The FDA has broadened its list of Tomatoes to avoid because of a salmonella outbreak that has sickened at least 145 people in 16 states, since middle April.
Salmonella Saintpaul cases have been reported in the following states.
Arizona
California
Colorado
Connecticut
Idaho
Illinois
Indiana
Kansas
New Mexico
Oklahoma
Oregon
Texas
Utah
Virginia
Washington, and
Wisconsin
FDA advises consumers not to eat raw red Roma, raw red plum and raw round tomatoes. Unless the tomatoes are from the following places, which have NOT been linked to the outbreak

You can add the state of Michigan to the list. As of today, according to the local news, there were two reported cases, one of them in my county (Washtenaw).

Were not on the list yet, but most of our fast foods and restaurants
Aren't serving any tomatoes
better safe than sorry

Also my market that i shop at, isn't selling any either

ours is only selling vine on tomatoes and grape/cherries which are the only ones safe thus far.
