Man, I loved the Drive-In Movies. Always a double feature and cheap. Too bad they are mostly gone by the wayside. Those little metal mono sound boxes that you clipped onto your window, playing at the playground until it was too dark, eating hot dogs and pop corn from the concession stand...Good times. Good Times.

My parents owned a station wagon so my brother and I always had blankets and such spread out in the back to lay down on and go to sleep when we got tired.

Right we did the same thing, laying in the back of the station wagon and watching out the back of the car. There's only one left near us, the rest all have closed down. There's even one right in our town, but that closed down several years ago. I guess kids just have slumber parties with the DVD player nowadays!

Wow I used to love going to the drive in! Getting really comfy in the car, attaching the cord to your antenna and getting the sound right through the radio! Classic.
