With mothers day coming up, what do you remember your mom saying;
I remember her saying;
Hey is for horses
Don't cross your eyes or they'll freeze that way
Close your mouth before a fly gets in
If your bored why don't you pick up your room
What I say goes in one ear and out the other

Men have died and worms have eaten them, but not for love.
"She" is the cat's mother. (Use a person's name, don't call her "she")
You're a street angel and a house devil. (Why do the neighbors think you are such a good kid?)
Charcoal is good for the stomach. (stop complaining about the burnt toast!)
You have to eat a peck of dirt in your life. (Pick it up and eat it, you won't die!)

It takes two to tango. (Generally, when my brother was picking on me and I complained about it. I had NO idea what a tango was!)

I find myself telling my boys:
I don't know where your shoes are; I didn't wear them.
Just like me mom used to...

"You kids just wait till your father gets home!"

"You will eat what I cook and that's that!"

"Jesus loves the little children everywhere."

Good old mom used to say..
"Girls, Girls, Girls..Don't Quarrel..!"
"Don't tell your boyfriend everything, he'll turn it
against you..!"
"Sit with your knees together..!"
"Don't go with just one boy, there are LOTS of fish in
the ocean..!" (Excuse me mom, not in my town of 300) LOL!!
"You are a lady..first and always, ACT like one..!"
"STOP that giggling..Ladies don't giggle..!"
"Don't scratch there..it's not nice..!"
Mom was raised very Victorian, stiff and proper..She was
an elegant lady..no fooling around kind of gal..and I have
to admit 99% of the time she was right..And I'm a better
woman today because of it..
