Spruce Goose - Finally got around to seeing the infamous wooden ship/airplane. It is the centerpiece exhibit at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, Oregon. I missed it when it was on display at Long Beach Harbor in California years ago.
The size and the complexity of the wooden airplane/ship are very impressive. But I'm really amazed by the amount of money used to store, transport, house and display the one-time flier.
Worth the trip if you are in the area. I'll write an article on it in the near future.
