. I do believe I've experienced this sort of thing myself. Yes at first look it does indeed look like dust particles, or things in the sky (looks quite like stars to me!), but actually I think it is caused by the those highly reflective pieces of metal she's working on
.
I'm thinking that from where the majority of specks of light are located in the picture, it's the piece lying on the floor that is causing the most visible problems you can see in the top left of the picture, with the light reflected off the object and being diffracted by your camera's lenses (I think that's how best to explain it, sure it's caused through either diffraction or refraction, but my physics lessons were a long time ago!!
I'll double check in a bit). Accessories that will help reduce this effect is to use a lens hood and a polarizing filter to deal with the reflections.
Luckily though most of the noticeable specks are in the sky so you shouldn't have too much trouble photoshopping them out
