CEO of Marvel, Maisel, just announced on CNBC that 2011 will be the "Year of the Avengers". Also announced - no movies for 2009 from the new studio. Thor and Iron Man 2 slated for 2010. Captain America and Avengers movie in 2011.
Congratulations to the new Marvel Studios on their success of Iron Man. This movie was phenonmenal and took in over 200 million world wide in just the opening weekend. The film cost 175 million to produce so the profits are looking great. Hopefully the Hulk will be a smash hit as well (early previews look fantastic!) and keep the studio going full steam ahead!
