I am 7 weeks pregnant. I have a 4-year-old son and since he was born had 2 miscarriages, I didnt bleed with either, found out during a routine sonogram. Today I went to use the bathroom and when I wiped, there was blood. It wasn't in the toilet, but on the TP. I called the doctor and he thought maybe my progesterone was dropping and now has put me on progesterone pills three times a day. Today is Friday, so I have to do this for the weekend, stay off my feet and go for a blood test Monday. I am so scared. My progesterone was checked this past Monday and was 50 (on the high side I think). Has anyone had a similar problem and still carried to full term? Would love to hear back. Thanks!

Not exactly the same, but I had infertility issues, and progesterone (though suppositories, not pills -- that's gotta be easier on you!.) The progesterone is for post-luteal support, basically, until the placenta can fully take over the job.

I hope all goes well for you!

I had spotting once with my first, I forget how early on. She ended up being a preemie coming 10 weeks early. My second, no spotting, came almost 4 weeks early, probably made it further since I quit working.

My third, my new doctor got me on progesterone shots and I actually made it to my due date. She used natural (not synthetic) progesterone. The shots were itchy. They would run my numbers every two weeks (and I'm sorry I can't remember the good range). They would adjust me between one and two shots based on the numbers.
