Our Seders were great. The children participated. Everyone was engaged. Food was great.
The Counting of the Omer begins on the night of the second Seder. We count seven days of seven ways - each week and each day of each week being connected to (in Kabbalistic tradition) one of seven Sefirot. Each combination of Sefirot can be connected to a deeper meaning and possibility for personal growth.
We will be on day three when the article comes out, but I'll post new articles each week for the remaining days.

I enjoyed the article. May I ask something about Omer - is this an Orthodox tradition? I only ask because I was raised in a Conservative household and I have never been familiar with this.

That's a great question. I think I first learned about it when I went to Israel... and the program I was on was orthodox-based.
I don't remember hearing about the Omer growing up either. I'll look into the origins of it and include that in the next article.
