A few years ago at the Autism walk one of the vendors at the expo had a special wrapper for candy bars and I really liked that. Have you thought about autism awareness and other issues? I know for autism that the month of April is awareness and they have a ribbon symbol. I think it is in Feb that breast cancer is and that would be pink.

I like the concept for water bottles. That is popular for the marathons and walk a thons.

I do not see any price range or min for orders or how long it takes to pre order and also the ship method, etc.

That's an excellent idea, Bonnie. I always recommend my clients pick at least one worthy cause to help support.

And, Candywrapz, if you find a cause you believe in and want to help, you can probably get good exposure from doing a project or two for them "at cost", or donating a door prize, or something to help support them.

Oh, and for walkathons and marathons, there are always goodie bags for the runners/walkers and they are always looking for donations and coupons for those. For you, you could maybe do some non-melting candy (Lifesavers, perhaps?) with a coupon on the wrapper for a discount on a larger order.

I have done wrappers for breast cancer awareness and heart disease. I have also created special wrappers for the Relay of Life walk-a-thons, held in June. I could very easily add autism awareness and other issues, as well. This is agreat idea.

Water bottles are also a big hit--especially with small businesses. I have a standing order with a colleague from my women's network who gives them away at the annual convention.

I see that my site needs to be revamped again with my pricing information.

For water bottles, I only do the labels, which are $.50 each, plus tax and postage). No minimum order required and a one time set up fee of $15. Depending on the size and type of the order I would need at least one-two weeks notice to draft the wrapper/label, create a prototype, get your approval and begin production. I just need to know the size water bottle you will use.

I have done gratis work for the Relay of Life (cancer awareness) walk-a-thons, using Lifesavers and miniature chocolates. And I have donated door prizes to several functions including my Church's Christmas bazaar and my sorority's fundraisers.

I do special wrapped candy bars for our Confirmation class at Confirmation, also. I also give out wrapped candy at Halloween. And I send my paying customers a holiday card as a wrapped candy bar. All have my contact information on it.

Most people love the "idea" but I've yet to get any real ongoing business from it.

I like your idea of including a discount coupon on the wrapper. I will try that!! More great ideas!! I am willing to try everything!!!
