I usually watch around 2 hours a night after I put my son to bed. I will probably start watching less because all of my favorite shows, like the Biggest Loser, are ending.

Right that was really the only show we were watching recently, and now that it's over, there's nothing on our "watching schedule".

We do watch Reaper, 30 Rock and BSG, but I will miss my Biggest Loser.

I do have BSG on my netflix queue, so I can watch it straight through from the beginning while biking. With series I generally don't like dealing with commercials or waiting a week so we wait for it to end and then just netflix it on DVD smile

I only say I watch that much TV because if I want to spend time with my husband, that's how I have to spend my time. Because that's pretty much the only hobby he has these days. Don't get me started.

It can get so easy to fall into that habit! The solution is to work on it in stages. Is there a hobby he used to enjoy, like darts or pool? Offer to take him out for an evening as a special treat smile

I watch very little, I usually watch 30 min's a day to get the news... then I check the program, if there is a movie or a documentary on, it has to fill two conditions for me to watch it:
1. it's interesting
2. i haven't seen it yet (so many reruns -> time waster!)

I usually watch one movie and one documentary a week maybe. The fact that I only have six TV channels helps, too. I wouldn't even know when to watch cable or sat TV - I don't even have the time to watch the little bit I do watch! Sometimes I tape it and watch it at another time or in pieces... and you can ff over the commericials, too!

If the two conditions don't apply, there's a big red button on the remote... and off to bed with a good book! smile

Right I definitely like to watch shows only after being recorded. That way we fast forward through commercials. It both saves a *ton* of time and also maintains the continuity of the feeling! Can you imagine watching a movie in a theater and having them randomly stop the reel every once in a while, for 5 minutes? smile
