My kitchen. I don't like having all the "extras" out. My counters are cluttered and the kitchen looks messy...
Oh, I guess you meant food? OK, popcorn.

ha! you're so right. this is the first year we haven't had to cover our counters with some outrageously patterned roll of vinyl.
I just started cooking (so much left to do) and our kitchen is going down hill fast.
I snuck in another room to have a bowl of cereal... that's what I'll miss.

We always covered our counters with aluminum foil. Now I have granite, and love it! We also did the fridge, but the rabbi's letter this year specifically said the foil ruins how the refrigerator works, so don't do it. That made things a lot easier.
Are you exhausted yet? I'm near tears tired.
Two sons in college each invited some friends to our sedar since they were too far from home to travel. My daughter also invited two friends. My sedar size has grown over the last few days. It makes me happy that everyone is coming, just so so tired!

I'm with you, Carol.
Shabbat is starting soon here and we are certainly not ready for the Seders. Ours, too, expanded by 8 and we already had 20.
I was trying to keep it small this year.
I'm glad to hear your Rabbi said no foil. I just hung up paper signs this year... and I'm going to feel good about that!
Chag Sameach.

The house is a mess; my poor mom is exhausted - it is hard at age 67 to redo all of the cookware & silverware, not just one set but two sets. I was exhausted as well at my age, 35. I split my time between my parents home and my apartment with my husband - he works at night and that is when I am with my parents.

yeah... it was hard this year, for me, with young children. They wanted to eat bagels, cereal, etc. up until the very last minute and didn't understand why they "couldn't".
I'm being a little flexible this year and trying not to get stressed about it. I want them (and myself) to embrace the meaning and be excited about being Jewish.

Have you tried the cereal for Passover? I remembered liking it as a kid.
