If you're getting a sty, this can help. Can't sleep because of an itching bite? Make a cup of tea and as soon as you can stand it, put the hot (yes, very hot) tea bag on the bite. Grit your teeth and hold it there until it stops stinging, and you're good for about 6 hours without the itch. You can get the same effect by holding the very hot cup against the bite.
