Hi, everyone! I have been really busy recently, and I actually felt pangs of guilt for being so absent on the forum! I've checked in to read a few threads, but I haven't had time to post. I'm back now, though!

I was reading my local newspaper today and read a letter someone wrote about children running amok in public. I definitely agree with the writer, but you should see some of the comments people put beneath it! I just don't understand some of the people in my community. Last week I took my DH to two different doctor appointments and, after one of the doctor visits, we went shopping.

At Dr.#1, we spent 20 minutes sitting in the waiting room listening to a screaming baby and putting up with a screaming toddler running wild.

At Dr. # 2 it was half an hour in the waiting room with 3 out of control kids plus one screaming parent yelling at them to be quiet. The parent made as much racket as the kids.

At the store I got slammed into twice by kids running wild with shopping carts. Have the bruises to show for it too.

I've had kids riding in grocery carts grab things out of my cart when I was trying to pass them, other kids throw stuff into my cart, kids without carts but running in the aisles slam into my legs from behind, kids literally shove me if I happen to be in front of something they want, and kids push carts into me while I'm in the check out line. The parents are always oblivious. It's gotten to the point where I hate going grocery shopping so I send my DH to the store.

Wow, the people commenting on that article were MORONS. I love how it becomes this big tirade against overweight people and Walmart. Ummm... I thought it was about parents who can't control their kids! Idiots.

I know! God forbid we should talk about responsible parenting.

It seems anytime Walmart is mentioned, some anti-Walmart person comes in and hijacks the thread, posting the evils of corporate business practices.

Totally, Froggy_Moo. It is very annoying that some people can't even see past that to see that there are other issues in the world besides that one.
