I'm trying the Bigelow Red Raspberry tea I had on my shelves. It's actually a nice mild flavor! The color is sort of red-purple. Interestingly the ingredients are: hibiscus flowers rose hips apples elderberries natural and artificial raspberry flavors So raspberry comes last It doesn't seem to have that sharp unpleasant flavor I found in the other Passion tea, so I'm not sure what that means.

Lisa, I got the tea yesterday. Thank you so much. ^_^ I've had 3 cups already!
As I was sitting and looking at the bookmark you sent (which is absolutely beautiful. Even my mom commented on it.), my eye caught the term "citric acid" on one of the tea packets. :-O Citric acid in bagged tea?! Citric acid is usually used in bottled beverages and it makes it have a weird, tangy flavor. I'll bet you anything that is what ruined the experience for you.

I'm glad you like it! I definitely just didn't get along with it. Maybe it was the acid! Hard to know I guess I'm glad you liked the bookmark!

I'm down to my last few of the red raspberry tea. It's an easy drinking tea for me but I don't think I'll get any more once these are gone. To me it's almost like the red crystal light punch I drink - a nice way to stay hydrated, but not something I really think about while I'm drinking it.

OK now I tried the Celestial Seasonings raspberry zinger. It comes four bags into a pouch which I don't like - it means I have to drink them all relatively quickly.
Ingredients - hibiscus, rosehips, roasted chicory, orange peel, blackberry leaves, natural raspberry flavor with other natural flavors (contains soy lecithin) raspberries and raspberries leaves.

Stash Tea also has a tasty red raspberry.
Ingredients: hibiscus, orange peel, lemongrass, rosehips, natural flavor of raspberry, licorice powder, citric acid.

Citric acid once again. To me, it just ruins the tea. I know the stuff is add to give the tea a bit of tang but honestly, why is it necessary? Doesn't hibiscus achieve the desired effect?

I agree with you Heather - I dislike seeing that in the ingredients list.

Well, the Celestial Seasonings raspberry zinger was pretty innocuous, a mild flavor. So it was something I drank through relatively quickly without minding it, but without saying "wow I need more of this!!" either
