Kathi, I love the way you worded that...so perfectly described!

Ok, I figured out how Wishbone acquired his name. Apparently, there was a show on PBS called Wishbone and the main character was a Jack Russell....named Wishbone.

I got my German Shepherd from another family about two years ago now. She is registered as Jenny the Dawg. Of course, I just call her Jenny.

I love her company even when she can be difficult. She's a big mommy baby and an excellent companion and protection dog.

One of the ways I dealt with my grief over departed pets was to do a scrapbook of all the pets we'd ever had pass through our lives. It brought back a lot of wonderful memories, especially the little "quirks" that each animals has. I've had many nice compliments on the scrapbook and several friends have decided to do the same for all their pets!

P.S. Wishbone is a wonderful series. In it, Wishbone "lives out" books from the classic adventure literature line, like Robin Hood. They are out on DVD now and my husband and I still love to watch them! Plus there's always a "moral to the story" that applies to Wishbone's real family. They spared no expense on the costumes for this series and it is quite fantastic!

Both our dogs are rescues and came with their names. Lulu is a white Olde English Bulldogge and Ace is a little black and white French Bulldog.

Lulu is the name the rescue gave her (so we could have changed it) but it suits her. Ace was named by his owner (who passed away--that's why he went to the rescue) so we didn't want to change it.

Corona came with her name she is our Heinz 57 mutt, we are thinking Corgi, Chihuahua, Valhund, along with cat because she loves to lie on your lap and directly in your face.

Buela Grace we got as a puppy (She's and ACD too!) we were looking for B names...it was between Buela and some other one. Grace was her name at the accidental breeders. (she and her brother were 'Will and Grace')

Max came as Max. But because it's a little boring and common we call him Maximus.

Colbert was either going to be Colbert or Sutter. he is our rescue Corgi, we named him after Stephen Colbert, a man on Comedy Central with a parody news show who happens to be from Charleston. (Sutter is a town near where my sailor grew up)

Our dog's name is Buster. He is an extremely sweet and loving dog and very intelligent. However, today he is very demanding because it is a Monday and he misses his "boy" who has gone back to school for the week. I think today, I will call our dog Peeve - my pet Peeve!

Peeve is cute...and in Harry Potter books, there is a poltergeist named Peeves, who is always making mischief, which might also fit your dog! LOL!
