Studies have shown that the top two favored scents by men are lavender and pumpkin pie! Who would have thunk it?

I am a lover of lavender too. I own a boutique that specializes in all lavender products from bath & body, to sachets and perfume. I can't get enough of it!

Lavender is one of my favorite scents as well, but it can be a bit overwhelming if used in large quantities.

Actually I'm curious where you got the lavender / pumpkin pie information? All the studies I've read said that men tend to go for fruit (strawberry being key) and musk. Also intriguingly guys really go for scents that include a "women musk" scent. I.e. (not surprisingly) they want a smell that reminds them of sex wink

Do you have a link?

I LOVE lavender, but DH hates it! He's also not crazy about pumpkin pie scent because he doesn't like pumpkin pie. Vanilla is ok with him but not too strong. He prefers spicy, oriental scents like Opium and Youth Dew, which, of course, makes my nose itch. LOL The only fragrance we both really like is Michael by Michael Kors.

This article references the lavender and pumpkin pie issue - http://www.theeyeopener.com/article/3208.

Big attractants appear to be anything food related, especially the scent of cinnamon rolls or possibly chocolate.

Hmmm I'm not sure that article says it's the scent the men 'preferred' smile It's talking solely about blood flow, which isn't quite the same thing. The question is which scent a man actually likes, some of us aren't out to have sex with all the guys we meet smile

In terms of sexuality, like I mentioned above, studies show the #1 scent to get a guy aroused is the scent of a woman, so to speak.

I suppose really that studies are showing that almost half of all men are wearing scents - so it's not so much what they like to smell on a woman, but what they like to smell in general, since they're wearing scents themselves smile You would have to hope that something they put on and wear all day is something they like to smell ...

I can't seem to find the top male scent on the web. How about the women all ask the men in their lives, and the men all post, and we find out the old fashioned way! What scent do you just honestly "enjoy" smelling?
