I put raw food grade green tea in my morning smoothie, just wondering if anyone else eats their green tea? It is better to consume it this way since it is much less oxidized and therefore contains more nutrients and less caffeine. Green tea regulates blood sugar, is high in antioxidants, gives you sustained energy unlike coffee, and has cancer fighting properties.

If anyone is interested in trying it, I order mine from the Wellness Forum. It is $30 per can which will last you a month if you eat it daily. I have tried all different brands but this one is really the best. Of course you will need to use a really good blender like a Blendtec or a Vitamix if you don't want to taste bits of green tea. I use a Magic Bullet and there are pieces that don't get blended, but I personally don't mind and like the taste of green tea.

I really like the taste of green tea. I bet it would be a nice addition to certain recipes.

I've never really "eaten" green tea, but I have had green tea ice cream a few times. Yum. smile

I've used liquid green tea in recipes but never powdered. Is there a difference in regular green tea and "food grade?" I'd like to try this.

The detox tea I use is herbal and says you can save the tea bags and mix with recipes. I suppose green tea is the same thing.
