The evening news seems to be the worst time for drug ads on TV. I think I've stopped watching it because the ads annoy me so much. Now I get my news from the internet. That way I don't have to watch the ads. That's just my opinion. What's your's?

Well, we stopped watching network news TV many many years ago because it's always sensationalized. You can never get any news in a rational manner. We get it from newspapers and the internet.

I wonder if it's an interesting correlation if they find that people who watch TV news need drugs What do they need? Viagra so they stop watching TV? Anti-depression medicine because of all the bad news?

Frankly, I am annoyed by a lot of ads on tv. I have not really paid attention to how many drug ads are on during the news. I am going to check that out over the next few days...

I know that most doctors are really annoyed by all the drug ads on tv. People see a drug mentioned, then go into the office just knowing it is what will cure them, and you can;t convince them otherwise.

I have a friend who's an ER doc, and he said he wishes WebMD had never been created, because people have dx themselves by the time they come in, and he can't convince them otherwise!

The drug ad that annoys me the most is not a prescription drug, it's a migraine thing - all they do is repeat the same sentence about 5 times. I can't remember the name - I think I've blocked it from my memory!

Since drugs are so well advertised and so many people are now convinced they do cure everything we have medications in our drinking water.

I'm not so annoyed by the ads on TV as the ones in Prevention magazine. It's supposed to be a magazine dedicated to health and it's full of drug ads. Each one has pages and pages of adverse reactions so it seems like it's half the magazine.

My mom told me she asked the dr if people came in requesting drugs they see on TV and he told her about half of them refuse to take a drug because of all the reactions they now have to list with each one-like death!

I had a boss who would go absolutely nuts if you mentioned that ad, she hated it so much!

Not just drug ads i hate most commercials , i favor some animal ones some time there cute

Some of the beer commercials are pretty funny - I like watching them! What makes it worse is that I can't stand the taste of beer.

There are some pretty funny and effective commercials on TV but they are all designed to accomplish one purpose, whether they be for pharmaceuticals or beer. Their mission is to sell the product and make big bucks. Unfortunately, the cost of those commercials, as is the case with prescription medicine, is passed back to the consumer.

I have stopped watching the news because every night there is something about the obeseity epidemic and how your teenager can get high off of your Rx, Cold meds, hairspray,...I mean really when I was in school every thing I needed to know about getting myself high I learned off the 10 pm news!!! they tell you step by step how to make meth, get high off paint glue or hairspray!!! they there is the ever present drug dealers on every corner and they tell you exactly what corner and who what when and how to get the drugs!

oh and then there is the drug ads on tv that tell you these make you sleep these give you energy and these make you horny! so yeah tv is my drug info one stop shop!
after watching the news that tells me that if I am 20 pounds over the "Ideal" weight that I am a stastisic a number and part of the problem not the solution and not only that but I can make my thin friends fat my kids fat and I should be ashamed of myself for even breathing!

Is it an wonder that so many kids had drug and body image problems?

I do love the ads about if you or a loved one have suffered this that or Death please call blah blah blah.......

I want to call in and say yes I would like to call and repost that I have suffered Death because of......

Just how do you call in DEAD? do they use a medium or a channaler of some kind? is this allowed in court?
