It's sad for me to say, but fall is here. Of course, that means fall colors are here, too. We love to take day trips to see the fall leaves and usually find somewhere good to eat along the way. That's the way to get a double dip for your trip. Our favorite is Nashville, Indiana in Brown County. They have the most beautiful rolling hills, fall leaves, craft shops and, of course, loads of down home restaurants. Where's your favorite?

I have to say that the most beautiful fall color I have seen lately - in the last 10 years - is in the hills of Tennessee. In the mountains at the o 'overlooks' you can see many shades of color as you look out over the mountains.

Then we get some great color around my home in NE Indiana too.

Fall is long gone and spring is finally here! Springtime makes for a great trip to the shores of Lake Superior. The ice is melting on the huge rocks along the shoreline. This makes for a very scenic view so bring your camera.

What's also fun is climbing from rock to rock along the shoreline. It makes for great pictures and makes you feel like a kid again.

I've not been to Lake Superior before except for a short "driveby" when we went to Toledo once. I LOVE the shorelines around the Lakes though. I've spent lots more time on Lakes Michigan and Erie.

Spring is my favorite time of year. All the beginnings.........
