Just curious. It seems that a lot of people use the name "Hon" or "Honey", but what other pet names have you used or been called?

...and we're not talking animals, here. People "pet names."

Think back through them all...let's see - Boo, Lover, Kid, Sweetie - You get the idea.

My youngest son has a bunch of nicknames for me - Mother Bear and Mittens are his most used. He is 20, and his friends think it's funny. The older one (who is 24) calls me Mama Bear.

My kids call their grandmother "Gee" (with a hard g sound). Their friends call her that, as well.

I get a lot of nicknames with the Beer Fox thing too. Foxy Mama, BF (for Beer Fox), Smags (taken from part of my last name), beer _itch (used by a friend's friend - imagine her surprise when I told her there was, in fact, a beer named "Bierbitzch" - an actual German name), and Wonderwoman. Ha-ha!

My boyfriend and I called each other "Lover." He traveled extensively, but thanks to technology, we were never out of touch. During a holiday, he called. My Mother, (who was visiting), answered the phone, and as usual, the first thing he said was, "Lover?" You should have seen the confused look on her face!!! You know those commercials that say "PRICELESS" ? She held the phone out and said, "...ahhh, I think it's for you."

Well, when we are out with our friends, I call my hubby "my big stud muffin" which makes him blush and laugh. But under normal circumstances we call each other "Sweetheart".

My big stud muffin! That's GREAT!

I have a friend who calls her man "Choo-chii", and another who calls her husband "Bo," although his name is Darwin.

We both use "baby". We also use "wife" and "husband". He got in trouble for calling me "the wife" from some lady who was there because she felt it was disrespectful. We don't. I'm the wife and he's the husband. He often adds a Y to my name which I like. His mother started calling me it and I told her to stop. I felt it was too intimate for her to call me it and I like just having him call me it.

Growing up I had an aunt that called me "Charlie Brown". I have no idea why.

And a neighborhood boy who's family called me "cabbage head". Apparently I use to go through their humongous back yard garden to the cabbages.

A lot of people back then called the kids in their family Charlie Brown for some reason. I know I got called that a lot but I suppose it is better than being called a blockhead. lol.

Well...I was going to say 'Sweetie', but all of you have such unique and interesting answers I now feel very plain and old fashioned.

I totally love your honesty, Vance!!! Have a beer on me!
